A Weekend of Mindfulness

with Thay Kai Ly

in Nagano

We would like to invite everyone to our annual three-day mindfulness retreat in Nagano. This time, we will have a wonderful monastic teacher leading this retreat. Thay Kai Ly is a Buddhist monk, and experienced meditation teacher who is a long-term guest teacher at Plum Village, a mindfulness practice center founded by zen master Thich Nhat Hanh in the south of France.

 

 

This event is suitable for all practitioners. From those new to mindfulness who join for the first time to learn about mindfulness, meditation or self-care, to seasoned practitioners and those who seek to benefit from deep rest and relaxation in body and mind.

【Program】Dharma talk, Q&A, and mindfulness practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh 

【Venue】Megamiyama Life Center

A shuttle will pick us up from Bessho-onsen train station at 14:00
(If you come with your own car, please let us know and arrive Megamiyama Life center at 14:30)

【Participation】 33,000JPY +donation

【Accommodation】 Dormitory in separate gender

・If you come with your family, we will try arrange for you to stay in one room with your family, so please let us know in advance. For those who will join with children and babies, please inquire for the child rate.

1967 born in Malaysia
1989 ordained in Hong Hock See Temple, Penang, Malaysia
1991- 1993 studied at Buddhist Institute of Malaysia
1993 received higher ordination in Taiwan
1993- 1999 studied, and finished studies at Fu Yan Buddhist Institute in Taiwan
1999-2018 went to Myanmar, Korea and France to learn and practice meditation under 
 Venerable Pa-Auk Sayadaw, 
 Venerable U Tejaniya Sayadaw, 
 Venerable U Janaka Sayadaw, 
 Zen Master Seung Sahn disciple Late Mu Shim Sunim 
 Venerable Master Thich Nhant Hanh.
In recent years, leading mindfulness retreat and giving Dhamma talks in France, Ireland, Malaysia, US and China.
